Alison Wan Xuan Tang

I am an associate in our Intellectual Property Practice Group in Singapore. My work spans a wide range of contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters, with a focus on brand management and trade mark portfolio strategy.

My practice centres around assisting clients in all aspects of trade mark work, which includes conducting clearance searches, advising on the viability of registrations, devising prosecution strategies, and collaborating with colleagues abroad to effectively navigate trademark issues on a global scale. With regard to transactional matters, I have been involved in preparing and reviewing local and cross border assignment, licence and franchise agreements relating to the commercialisation of intellectual property. I also have experience in contentious intellectual property cases, and work closely with my team to handle litigation and opposition proceedings for a diverse range of clients in Singapore.

Having spent most of my schooling years in competitive sport, I bring the same tenacity and dedication to every aspect of my legal practice. I believe that strong intellectual property protection is an indispensable pillar of every business which, with proper treatment, can generate significant value and spur business growth.
