I am an associate in the Commercial team in London, and am part of our International Business to Consumer Group.
I advise brands across a range of sectors on compliance with consumer protection legislation and regulations. This includes providing support for online marketplaces, e-commerce platforms and websites in relation to commercial contracts, terms and conditions and the consumer's online user journey. I regularly work on international multi-jurisdictional projects where clients are expanding their business globally and need mandatory local law reviews, and as part of this I often advice on the localisation of US terms for compliance with the UK /EU markets (including advising on enforceability issues).
I also support brands with advertising and marketing campaigns, including reviewing and advising on the substantiation behind green claims and comparative advertising claims. I also have experience in drafting influencer / talent agreements, IP licenses, and responses to ASA complaints and investigations. I regularly advise on UK and global prize promotion and competition mechanics, as well as sales promotions and corresponding compliant pricing practices.
In addition to my business-to-consumer work, I also have experience advising on and drafting contracts for business-to-business transactions.
I am also a member of the firm's MediaWrites news hub, and am a content correspondent for the Marketing and Advertising sector.
