Aurore Dacier

I am a Data Protection Advisor in Bird & Bird's Privacy Solutions team and a Commercial lawyer. I am based in Hong Kong, advising and accompanying clients across different industries on data protection and technology related transactions around the globe.

I advise clients across a broad range of industries, from large multinational corporations to start-ups and scale-ups expanding in the APAC region.

Prior to joining Bird & Bird, I was an associate at another leading international law firm based in Brussels (Belgium) where I advised clients on complex cross-border outsourcing projects, software development and licensing, cloud agreements, data protection, strategic collaborations and partnerships internationally.

I am admitted to practice in New York and Paris and I am registered as a foreign lawyer in Hong Kong. My international experience has taught me to always remain curious and think outside the box.

I find those qualities are key when working in the tech space. It is a demanding and fast-moving sector. I am fascinated by the projects carried out by our clients and how creative the players in this space are.

As a lawyer and advisor, my approach is client-focused, pragmatic and business oriented. I take pride in understanding my clients' business and assisting them every step of the way, from pitching an idea or selecting a partner, translating their project into legal terms, through the negotiations, up until the closing of the transaction.
