I am an associate in the Dispute Resolution Group in Sydney. I specialise in media, technology, and sports disputes.
Since joining Bird & Bird Sydney as a participant in the 2021 clerkship program, I have gained experience in our Commercial, Competition and Regulatory, Employment, Real Estate and Dispute Resolution Groups.
During my legal career at Bird & Bird, I have worked on contentious matters across an array of disciplines. Including, as examples, preparing evidence and drafting documents for two major commercial appeals in the NSW Court of Appeal, a media defamation hearing in the Federal Court of Australia, and two hearings in front of a Joint Parliamentary Committee. I have also assisted in advising on employment and competition matters, as well as compliance with regulatory and commercial obligations.
I specialise in media, technology, and sports disputes - with a particular interest in sports regulation and contentious media matters.
Before entering the legal profession, I spent three years as a research consultant at a boutique economic consulting firm. In this time I gained a significant understanding of the Australian financial services and regulatory landscape - which I apply to my work as an Associate for Bird & Bird.
I have also spent time researching and writing regular updates on technology disruption - with an intentional emphasis on Artificial Intelligence - and am eager to be placed to understand the impact such disruptions will have on the legal profession.
