Michelle Weber

As an associate in our Commercial and Data Protection Team in Hamburg and a member of our Technology & Communications Group, I advise our clients on all aspects of IT and new technologies.

I focus on advising domestic and international companies on all aspects of national and international IT and data law. A key focus of my practice is litigation, where I represent clients in court proceedings and other contentious matters.

In addition, I advise on European legislative acts such as the AI Act and the Data Act, as well as on issues relating to platform liability and other regulatory frameworks affecting the digital sector.

In addition to my work at Bird & Bird, I served as Managing Director of the 'Deutscher EDV‑Gerichtstag e.V.' from 2023 to 2025, an association that promotes the digitalisation of the German legal system.

In 2025, I was awarded the German IT Law Prize, presented by the IT Law Working Group ('davit') of the German Bar Association.
