I am a Data Protection Advisor within Bird & Bird Privacy Solutions in London.
With more than four years of experience in privacy and data protection and over six years of experience in administrative litigation and regulatory, both in private practice and professional services across Latin America and the United Kingdom, I have advised clients in a wide range of sectors including, financial services, media & entertainment, retail, and technology.
Before joining Bird & Bird, I worked at an international consultancy firm within their privacy & data compliance services assisting clients in privacy maturity assessments and diverse matters related to privacy and data protection, such as analysing cross-border data transfers, conducting privacy risk assessments of vendors, products and processes, managing data subject right requests, and reviewing data transfer agreements.
Prior to that, I worked as an International Associate in the privacy & data protection practice at a leading law firm in Brazil. In this role, I supported clients on adequacy projects to the Brazilian Data Protection Law (LGPD). In Mexico, I spent 6 years as an Administrative Litigation and Regulatory Associate at a leading law firm. I represented clients' interests before courts against resolutions issued by the Data Protection Authority (DPA), as well as against individual complaints submitted before the DPA.
I hold a Master of Law (LLM) in Computer and Communications Law at Queen Mary University of London and a second Master's Degree in Compliance and Regulation at the same university.
I am certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) with the CIPM, CIPP/EU, and CIPP/US designations.
