Elsa Mandel

As a member of the Paris and New York bars since 2018 and an associate in our competition & EU law team in Paris, I specialise in French and EU competition law (cartels, abuse of dominance, merger control) and acts as counsel and litigator before competition authorities as well as commercial courts.

I have particular experience in advising clients on the structuring of distribution networks across Europe as well as on all issues regarding vertical restraints (notably in the context of selective distribution networks).
I have also gained in-depth experience in contentious commercial matters, notably representing clients before commercial courts in cases of private enforcement matters (follow-on actions) as well as commercial and contractual litigations (abrupt termination of commercial relationships, unfair competition, breach of contracts etc.).
I have also obtained experience on supplier-distributor relationships and sales regulations.
Before joining the team here at Bird & Bird in Paris, I worked in the Paris office of a major French law firm for 6 years.
I am a member of the association of competition law practitioners (APDC).
I speak French and English.
