Giulia Bianchini

I am an associate in the Human Resources Services Group in our Milan office, handling everyday issues relating to the ordinary and extraordinary management of employment relationships.

In the first phase of establishing of a new employment relationship, I conduct contractual negotiations, providing our clients with the relevant employment contracts and sharing expertise relating to the protection of their businesses through non-compete, non-solicitation and confidentiality agreements.

I provide our clients with day-to-day assistance on all employment related matters: smart-working agreements, changes of role, duties and tasks, implementation of disciplinary proceedings, drafting of company-level agreements and policies. I also manage issues relating to autonomous workers and consultancy agreements.

In regard to the termination of an employment relationship, I handle the dismissal process, the consequent negotiation with the counterpart, the drafting of the separation agreements and managing any possible meetings in front of the Labor Office. I regularly cooperate with different practices, working with our corporate colleagues during M&A transactions or re-organisation, both on the preliminary due diligence exercise and on all the employment issues that arise from the transaction itself.

I have also been part of Bird & Bird's immigration group since 2018 and have participated in several multi-jurisdictional programmes, providing legal advice both to Italian and international clients.

• Advising an important pharmaceutical company in the implementation of a smart-working project, drafting the relevant individual and collective agreements, further to the entry into force of the relevant law in 2017.
• Assisting another pharmaceutical company in the organisation of European gender equality programmes.
• Advising a cosmetics company in the process of changing an applicable collective bargaining agreement and drafting a specific policy related to working-time and shifts.
