I am the Professional Support Lawyer to Bird & Bird's market-leading Intellectual Property group in London.
I have considerable experience in all areas of IP law (as both a fee-earner and PSL). As a City-based IP practitioner, I advised a broad spectrum of clients and conducted a number of high-profile cases, particularly in relation to patent and trade mark infringement. I also worked for the publication Practical Law for a number of years, where I was a Legal Editor in the IP and IT team, writing legal updates, practice notes and new precedents.
At Bird & Bird, I provide support and training across the IP team, including a range of client-facing initiatives, working closely with our BD team. This includes editing and contributing to our international publications BrandWrites, DesignWrites, MediaWrites, and PatentHub, as well as writing for external publications. I continually monitor legal and market developments in IP, particularly in the UK and EU, and also internationally, assisting my colleagues in being at the cutting edge of their fields of expertise.
I also manage key IP content on Solutions Lab, our internal know-how platform, regularly collaborating with other members of our knowledge and client solutions team on knowledge management strategies, including the latest tech initiatives.
I represent the IP team externally at meetings of IP associations and industry groups, and I'm a member of AIPPI, the Pharmaceutical Trade Marks Group and ALPS (the association of dispute resolution knowledge lawyers in the UK).
