Inès Vermeiren

I am an associate in the Corporate, Commercial and Dispute resolution team of the Brussels office.

I have extensive experience as counsel in proceedings before national courts as well as in international arbitration (both institutional and ad hoc). I am passionate about defending my client's interests and assisting them from pre-trial negotiations to the final judgement. I have developed particular experience in complex commercial law disputes, focusing on management liability and disputes regarding shareholdings.

In addition to dispute resolution, I advise clients in corporate matters (incorporation, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring) and commercial transactions (real estate, distribution, purchase and sale and all sorts of partnership agreements).

I aim to provide a tailor-made approach, as every client and every case is unique.

Prior to joining Bird & Bird, I worked in a Belgian law firm where I advised clients on all corporate matters and developed experience in commercial litigation.

I am a member of CEPANI40, an organisation of the Belgian arbitration centre aimed at young professionals in arbitration.

I am fluent in French, Dutch and English.
