Jane Brassington

I am a partner in our Corporate Group, based in London specialising in transactional corporate work for clients, including mergers and acquisitions, investments, joint ventures and restructurings. I have over 20 years of experience acting for clients across a broad range of sectors with particular focus on hotels and hospitality, corporate real estate, and renewable energy.

In the corporate real estate sector I have worked on multiple joint ventures, sales and acquisitions of commercial and residential sites across the UK for developers and investors. This experience has been put to good use since joining Bird & Bird's Tier 1 ranked hospitality and leisure sector team where I have been able to advise owners and operators of hotels in relation to investments, acquisitions and sales. I also have significant experience in the renewable energy sector where I have worked on acquisitions, investments and joint ventures with a particular focus on battery storage and solar energy projects.

I enjoy developing meaningful working relationships with clients. I lead my team from the front and find it very rewarding to work collaboratively with clients to achieve their goals. Clients appreciate my commercial advice balanced with attention to detail as well as my proactive approach to driving transactions forward.

• Advised Cheyne Capital on the acquisition of Buxton Crescent Hotel and Old Hall Hotel.
• Advised Gulermak Renewables on its first investment into the UK solar market with the acquisition of a 42.4 MW Hanningfield Solar Project in Essex.
• Advised The Galliard Apsley partnership on its shareholder arrangements in relation to its collaboration with bp pulse to identify and develop EV charging hubs.
• Advised ThreatSpike Labs on their Series A funding led by Expedition Growth Capital.
• Advised Elements Green on their acquisition of the Bolney Green Energy Hub comprising a 148.8 MW four hour battery storage project in West Sussex.
• Advised PS Renewables on the sale of Dunmow Solar Farm to Thrive Renewables.
• Advised Transform Gaming on its seed investment round.
• Advised a developer client on its joint venture partnership with a Singaporean investor in respect of a circa 14 acre site in London for the development of as a residential led mixed use scheme.
• Advised PS Renewables on the acquisition and subsequent sale of Grange solar energy farm in Suffolk.
