Josh Gallichan

I am an associate in our International Corporate Group, advising clients across a broad range of corporate transactions, including M&A, venture capital investments, joint ventures and equity capital markets deals, with a particular focus on clients in the energy and technology sectors.

I also work closely with our Commercial Energy & Infrastructure team, where I provide regulatory and contractual advice to private and public sector clients on a broad spectrum of renewables and decarbonisation projects, including solar generation, energy storage, heat networks and EV charging infrastructure. This encompasses advising on offtake agreements, concession agreements, corporate structuring and due diligence.

This dual focus allows me to provide support on corporate and commercial issues to clients ranging from established energy companies undertaking expansion or restructuring, to innovative businesses navigating the UK energy market, and investors backing the next generation of energy and technology solutions.

I trained and qualified at Bird & Bird in 2025 and am particularly passionate about assisting clients with projects in the energy transition space, assisting them in navigating complex legal issues in order to deliver tangible positive outcomes. I also regularly contribute to our Insights page, where I provide updates on trends and regulatory changes in the energy sector.
