Since joining our IP team in Düsseldorf, I have advised our clients on trade mark, design and unfair competition law. I specialise in trade mark portfolio strategy and management as well as brand enforcement and anti-counterfeiting.

I act on behalf of our clients in registration, opposition and cancellation proceedings before the GPTO, EUIPO and courts, as well as in infringement actions arising out of national or European trade marks. I focus on international brand management, especially in brand protection strategies, monitoring and conflict resolution. My practice also includes clearance searches, which I for example regularly conduct for a broadcasting network, and developing filing strategies.

In addition I have substantial experience in coordinating and managing global anti-counterfeiting activities as well as representing our clients before customs authorities, in particular in relation to EU AFAs, and acting in proceedings that result from them. Currently I am handling an international project for a client in the technology and communications sector. I also advise on domain disputes and fake online shops, having acted for example for a sports clothing company.

• Acted for a global company in the technology and communications sector in customs and anti-counterfeiting matters.
• Advised Anson's and ASSOS in numerous disputes and the successfully global settlement negotiations which followed.
• Advised Peek & Cloppenburg in a dispute concerning key questions about the use as a trade mark and decorative use resulting in a successful outcome for the client before the German Federal Court.
