I'm an associate in the Intellectual Property Group based in London. I have experience in a range of intellectual property matters, with a particular focus on large-scale telecoms patent litigation.
I have been fortunate enough to have been involved in a number of contentious intellectual property matters, principally concerning patents but also providing support to ongoing trade mark enforcement and brand protection support.
My background is the engineering industry, having completed a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering before converting to a career as a solicitor. My focus on telecoms has allowed me to enjoy a blend of law and engineering, and to work at the legal forefront of innovation and technology.
In my time at Bird & Bird I have worked with clients from a variety of businesses, and understand how to tailor my output for the type of instruction given. Many of the matters on which I work involve cross-border elements, and I have enjoyed creating a good relationship with our international colleagues and developing my capabilities in delivering digestible advice relating to different jurisdictions.
I also contribute to various legal publications, such as on our 'PatentHub' site and the Journal of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA).
