About Me
As a lawyer in our Commercial team in Düsseldorf and the Automotive sector group, I advise national and international clients on a broad range of commercial law matters, with a particular focus on cross-border supply chain disputes.
My practice centers on supporting companies in various industries - both in and out of court - on issues relating to general contract law, product liability, and warranty claims.I guide clients through every stage of their business relationships, from drafting and negotiating to reviewing complex commercial agreements, often in an international context. In addition, I advise on legal matters across all levels of the supply chain, including distribution law and ESG compliance.
I studied law at the University of Münster and the Universidad del Atlántico in Barranquilla. During my legal clerkship, I gained experience at the German Embassy in Lima, a leading commercial law firm, and the legal department of a major automotive group. I also hold an LL.M. from Trinity College Dublin.
Before joining the firm, I worked as a research assistant and as an associate at a US law firm.
Experience
- Advising various national and international automotive suppliers (Tier-1 and Tier-2) on claims for damages, price increases and termination rights.
- Drafting various agreements for industrial companies (e.g. contract manufacturing agreements, transitional services agreements, agency agreements, plant construction agreements).
- Representing various suppliers in court to defend delivery stops aimed at implementing price increases.
- Representing an industrial company to defend warranty claims.
- Advising a Tier-1 automotive supplier on a major project with a German OEM and a Tier-2 automotive supplier.
- Advising an automotive supplier regarding the insolvency of one of its suppliers.
- Advising several domestic and international companies (automotive, telecommunications, consumer electronics) on various ESG requirements and product compliance matters, particularly Extended Producer Responsibility and the EU Battery Regulation.
