I am a senior associate in our Intellectual Property Group in The Hague, working at the forefront of our Retail & Consumer Group.
I specialise in soft IP matters and advertising law, with a focus on complex trademark litigation and product design.
Working on both contentious and non-contentious matters, I always strive to take a practical approach that not only considers the law but is also business focused. I greatly enjoy the synergy that comes with working in international teams, allowing us to deliver truly effective cross-jurisdictional advice and litigation strategies.
I advise a broad range of clients, many within the retail & consumer sector, and have a particular interest in fashion and luxury. Aside from my day-to-day work in this field, I also co-authored a chapter on 'Licensing and Merchandising of Fashion Assets' in the Oxford University Press publication The Handbook of Fashion Law.
Increasingly, intellectual property also intersects with regulatory requirements. My experience in advising on regulatory matters in the field of fashion / textiles and sustainability allows me to deliver advice that considers both aspects. It also allows me to advise on exciting new or developing topics such as upcycling, certification marks, exhaustion of trademark rights and ecodesign.
I have been recognised by Legal 500 as a Rising Star for Trade Marks, Copyrights and Design Rights (2023 & 2024) and a Leading Associate (2025). I was included as an IP Trailblazer in WIPR's Diversity Issue 2021, and I was one of the winners of the Rising Stars Awards EMEA 2022 for Copyright.
I am part of the Marques Copyright Team and a committee member of the Benelux Trademark & Design Association's Young BMM Committee. I am also a member of AIPPI, BMM, VvRr (the Dutch association for advertising law), and VIEPA (the Dutch association of IP litigators).
