As an associate in our Commercial and Data Protection team in Düsseldorf and a member of our Technology and Communications sector group, I advise our clients on a broad range of IT and data matters.
I provide comprehensive guidance on data protection matters under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) while also advising on a broad range of data-related legal issues.
I advise clients on the legal implications of AI, focusing on the evolving regulatory environment in the EU, contractual considerations, and copyright issues involved in developing and deploying AI solutions.
My practice also covers software licensing and copyright law, with a particular emphasis on open-source licence compliance, where I help clients safeguard their intellectual property rights and mitigate potential risks. In addition, I assist in drafting and negotiating complex IT contracts, and offer guidance on e-commerce requirements as well as platform provider liability matters.
Before studying law, I completed a dual bachelor's degree in 'Municipal Administrative Service ' (LL.B.). During my law studies, I continued to work for a municipal administration for several years.
