Implementation has now taken place through Law No. 2025-391 of April 30, 2025, which entered into force on May 3, 2025. To read about the changes please see our article here.
Extent to which existing law will require change
Significant change
Whilst it was thought only moderate change would be required, the French Parliament decided to take the opportunity to completely restructure and strengthen the class action system. Therefore, sweeping changes were enacted in April 2025.
