"We are shocked and saddened at the racial injustice demonstrated in recent incidents in the USA against the African American community. This has understandably led to an outcry globally against all forms of institutionalised discrimination both in the workplace and in our societies more generally. It has created a lens that we all need to use to ensure that we do all we can to eliminate such thinking and attitudes completely. As an international law firm which is passionate about the importance of the diversity of our workforce in all our countries of operation, we stand alongside our BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) colleagues at this challenging time. We are fully committed to playing our part in improving diversity within the firm. It is more important than ever that the legal profession as a whole throughout the world takes all necessary steps to advance the representation of BAME communities and all other ethnic minorities which are relevant to each country.
