During my time as CEO from 1996 to 2022, I led Bird & Bird through an intense period of consistent growth and international expansion.

It's been a great challenge but also fun to build the firm around a clear strategic vision. We aim to put our clients at the heart of everything we do, and all our people are focussed on that core objective.

Before taking up the role of Chief Executive, I built up a substantial transactional practice in the communications sector, acting for some of the largest telecoms and mobile operators across Europe.

I'm a firm believer that we must work with clients to drive innovation in our services. So in my time as CEO, we've pioneered a wide range of client service developments, from enhanced case and project management tools to improved cross-border reporting.

Looking ahead, we're in a powerful position to support our clients and deliver commercial value to them. Our unique industry insight, international reach and service innovation make us really different. This makes us better at helping our clients succeed.
