Bird & Bird announces partnership with vibe-coding app development platform Betty Blocks

International law firm Bird & Bird announces its partnership with Betty Blocks - an application development platform designed to make building enterprise apps faster and easier through the use of AI and low-code technology.

This partnership marks the further expansion of Bird & Bird’s ecosystem of tech solutions, all of which are chosen or developed in-house to meet client needs and address real world problems rather than adopting technology indiscriminately.

Betty Blocks uses vibe-coding: AI-assisted development that turns natural language prompts into working applications in minutes. Instead of lengthy development cycles requiring programming skills, users describe their intent in natural language, and AI instantly translates that intent into a working application with layouts, themes, and Bird & Bird-branded components. The platform includes governance frameworks, role-based access controls, and security standards that align with Bird & Bird's requirements for enterprise deployment.

Commenting on the partnership, Hélder Santos, Head of Legal Tech and Innovation at Bird & Bird said: “Our tech heritage and curiosity for innovation drives us to stay ahead of the curve and offer creative, technology-driven strategies that truly differentiate us. Real innovation is about improving how we work, collaborate, and deliver value for our clients; Betty Blocks enables us to move from concept to prototype in record time, while still meeting enterprise-level governance and security standards.”

Chris Obdam, founder and CEO of Betty Blocks adds: “We’re excited to partner with Bird & Bird, a firm that approaches innovation with real strategic discipline. While vibe-coding can accelerate development, enterprises need more than speed. They need governance, security, and maintainable architectures. Bird & Bird understands this, with their focus on solving genuine client problems and having the right processes in place. That approach aligns well with how we've built Betty Blocks, and we're looking forward to seeing how the partnership develops."
