International law firm Bird & Bird advised GenZero, a Temasek-backed decarbonisation-focused investment platform based in Singapore, which led the US$32 million Series C funding round for carbon ratings agency BeZero Carbon. New investors Japan Airlines and Translink Innovation Fund participated in this funding round alongside existing investors EDF Pulse Ventures, Hitachi Ventures, Illuminate Financial, Molten Ventures, Quantum Innovation Fund, Qima, and Intercontinental Exchange.
BeZero Carbon will use the new funds to expand its ratings coverage to include compliance carbon markets, scale up automation, and strengthen its team of climate and data scientists. Headquartered in London, BeZero has subsidiaries in New York and Singapore, and serves customers in over 30 countries across six continents, with ratings available on more than 40 platforms including Bloomberg.
