International law firm Bird & Bird advised Bpifrance's Large Venture on its participation in the $41 million Series A financing round of Bioptimus, a biotech company that specialises in AI applied to innovation in biomedicine.
Bpifrance's Large Venture participated alongside Cathay Innovation, who led the round, and Sofinnova Partners, an existing investor, in the Series A financing round, one year after the $35 million Seed round.
The Bird & Bird team consisted of partner Carole Bodin and associate Céline Sol for corporate aspects.
Bioptimus was advised by Jones Day, with partner Renaud Bonnet alongside associates, Jérémie Noel and Vincent Babin.
Bird & Bird, who also advised on Large Venture on its first financing round of Bioptimus, is a regular advisor to Bpifrance.
