Adrien Willocx

I am an Associate in our Commercial and Corporate practice in Brussels, where I focus on all aspects of international dispute resolution and litigation.

I focus my practice on all aspects of dispute resolution, including domestic and cross-border litigation and arbitration, with a clearly pragmatic and solution-oriented approach. I have extensive experience in litigation before the Belgian courts (both in first instance and appeal) involving various civil and commercial issues and regularly assist clients in complex and high-value judicial court expert proceedings. I have also some experience in litigation cases before the Belgian Supreme Court ('Cour de cassation' / 'Hof van cassatie').

In addition to contentious matters, I have experience advising clients in the drafting and reviewing of their commercial contracts in a wide variety of sectors.
Prior to joining Bird & Bird in 2025, I practiced at several Belgian law firms where I assisted both Belgian-based and international clients across a broad spectrum of industries in the context of commercial and civil law litigation, including in the fields of liability and insurance-related matters (e.g. real estate, products, professional liability), as well as construction and distribution law.

In my work, I like to bring a combination of an engagement spirit fostering cooperation and goodwill, as well as organization and structure.

I am a member of CEPANI40, an organisation of the Belgian Centre for Arbitration and Mediation specifically aimed at young professionals with an interest in arbitration and ADR.

I am fluent in French, English and Dutch, and have good working knowledge of German and Spanish.
