Csörsz Kollai

I am a consultant in the Commercial, TMT and Sports teams of the Budapest office, offering more than 15 years of experience across diverse practice areas including media law, sports law, telecommunications, intellectual property, data protection and compliance.

My major clients include telecommunications companies, media organisations, sports entities and technology firms. I have advised multiple international companies on high-profile transactions and regulatory matters across the Central and Eastern European region, with particular expertise in the telco, sports and entertainment industries.

In addition, I have extensive experience in sports licensing and media rights transactions, having been lead counsel on many major international sports licensing agreements. Over the years, I have also been involved in significant telecommunications infrastructure projects and M&A transactions involving both domestic and international companies.

I have also participated in complex IP licensing matters involving international sports organisations and media companies, and my experience extends to numerous corporate and regulatory compliance matters. My practice encompasses the full spectrum of telecommunications and media law, from network infrastructure agreements to content licensing and data protection compliance.

Before joining Bird & Bird, I served as General Counsel and Legal Compliance Director at a sports company, as well as Senior Legal Counsel at leading international telecommunications and media companies. I also founded and managed a specialised law firm serving corporate clients across multiple sectors.

I am fluent in English in addition to my native Hungarian, with basic proficiency in Italian and German.
