Eddie Chiu

I am a senior associate at Bird & Bird based in the UAE with in-house experience in tourism & leisure, and consumer discretionary retail sectors.

In 2009, I was admitted as a legal practitioner in Queensland, Australia and have predominantly worked in the food & beverage industry advising on matters relating to: international franchising; supply chain, food manufacturing & logistics; intellectual property; and trademark protection.

I am also experienced in advising on corporate responses and regulatory affairs, such as responding to notices from regulatory bodies and making submissions to inquiries and public consultations.

Prior to joining Bird & Bird, I spent several years working in-house in a publicly listed Australian based multi-national food & beverage retail franchisor. More recently, I have worked in-house in the tourism & leisure sector.
