Julie Macalou

As an associate in our Paris-based Dispute Resolution practice, I advise French and international clients on non-contentious and litigation matters in relation to Media and Technology law.

With a background in business, I have a great understanding of the inner workings of the technology and entertainment sectors, which enables me to provide strategic legal advice in areas ranging from Information Technology law (social media and digital platform regulation, new technology regulation, telecommunications law, online consumer law, and Internet-related disputes) to Entertainment law (publishing law and press offences, advertising law, audiovisual regulation and gambling regulation).

Prior to joining Bird & Bird, I gained valuable experience by working in the legal affairs department of a French media group and of a major American entertainment group.
