Katarína Pfeffer

As a Senior Associate with more than 12 years of professional experience, I head up the Employment practice in Bratislava advising the clients on all aspects of Slovak labor laws from employment commencement to employment termination, incl. specific HR related topics like diversity & inclusion, privacy & data protection, whistleblowing, IP and social security.

I am also a stable member of our Corporate & Commercial practices dealing with company housekeeping agenda on a day to day basis, due diligence projects, M&A transactions and corporate restructuring.

Last but not least as a part of our Life Sciences and Healthcare sector, I play a crucial role in supporting our pharmaceutical clients in disputes resolution in Slovakia with particular focus on patent infringement and patent litigation.

My vision is to listen carefully to the client's needs and provide high-quality, reasonable and tailored legal advice.

When working closely with clients during my secondments in the past, I have learned to understand business, target practical solutions and see legal issues from a broader perspective.

Particularly, I worked for almost two years as a country counsel for a global IT company, where I advised executive management and corporate bodies on a range of legal issues. These included corporate law, contract negotiation, public procurement, regulatory, employment, data protection and IP.

While on one year secondment to a multinational pharmaceutical company, I advised management and sales staff on regulatory pharmaceutical aspects, trade mark regulation, contract negotiation and medicine advertising.

I believe that through devotion to what we do, persistence and hard work we can reach the great achievements even if the prospective is not favorable at the very beginning. Ultimate clients' satisfaction is not only the challenge for me but also the best motivation.
