Leonor Ruano Silveira

I am a junior associate at Bird & Bird's Lisbon office working across the Intellectual Property, Technology and Life Sciences areas, advising national and international clients on both advisory and dispute-related matters.

My practice includes the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights, notably the management of national and European trademark portfolios before the Portuguese IP Office (INPI) and the EUIPO, including applications, oppositions, cancellations, renewals and appeals. I also assist in patent and copyright disputes, supporting the preparation of submissions and court proceedings.

Alongside my intellectual property work, I provide advisory and regulatory support in the technology and life sciences sectors, assisting clients with day-to-day legal matters, contractual arrangements such as licensing and brand use agreements, and regulatory matters affecting their activities.

I work closely with clients operating mainly in the pharmaceutical, technology and start-up sectors, maintaining direct contact and providing clear and practical legal guidance tailored to their business needs.
