I am a member of our International Employment Group based in Singapore. I advise on the full spectrum of matters covering all stages of the employment lifecycle, ranging from pre-employment issues to the cessation of employment (and beyond). I have a specialist focus on ASEAN employment law issues, having fulfilled the regional employment law function for one of Southeast Asia's largest e-commerce companies.
I draw on my experience as a former in-house counsel to provide practical and actionable legal advice. I am well-adapted to the fast-paced business environment and have a good grasp of the labour and employment law risks faced by employers across the region. I believe that HR legal advice must be able to drive business and meet operational requirements. My background has attuned me to the workplace culture, socio-legal nuances, and employee attitudes across diverse Southeast Asia, as well as across common law and civil law jurisdictions. I am extremely effective in resolving employment disputes in the region, handling multi-jurisdictional L&E projects and managing HR regulatory issues, having first-hand experience engaging with the labour regulators in multiple countries.
