As an associate in our London-based international Privacy & Data Protection practice, I advise UK and international clients across a variety of sectors on a wide range of international data and privacy issues. This includes core regulatory frameworks such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the ePrivacy directive, and emerging EU data laws.
Due to my knowledge, I am able to cover all aspects of data protection law, including advising on marketing rules, international data transfers, data processing and sharing agreements, data subject rights, privacy-related policies and procedures and the implementation of new technologies.
A dynamic area that holds my keen interest is the intersection of AI and machine learning with data laws. My understanding of these advanced technologies allows me to guide clients through the legal nuances involved in the adoption of AI and machine learning solutions.
Beyond my advisory role, I also support clients in data protection investigations and litigations before prominent data protection authorities, such as the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL). This includes holding direct discussions with data protection authorities and meticulously crafting responses along with other vital correspondence.
My trilingual proficiency and experience of working as part of an in-house team helps me to fully understand clients' needs and assist them with multi-jurisdictional and multi-lingual subjects.
Before joining Bird & Bird, I worked in a top US technology company as part of their in-house department and in the tech / data protection practices of several French and US law firms.
