As an associate in our Regulatory and Competition & EU team in The Hague, The Netherlands, I specialise in advising clients in regulatory and sector-specific matters and competition law.
Companies at the forefront of innovation often face regulatory issues and subsequent practical implications, which require factual problem-solving abilities and a thorough knowledge of EU law and the effects thereof within the national legal order. I advise clients in the financial markets, media, gambling and telecommunications sectors on regulatory issues arising from EU and national law related matters. Additionally, I am a member of the European Blockchain Sandbox core team.
I have acquired previous legal experience regarding regulatory, contractual and competition law issues from internships at other law firms, including another international firm, and a position in the Corporate legal team of the Dutch railway infrastructure manager with a special focus on sector-specific regulation. In my education I studied Dutch civil law related matters with a focus on regulatory issues, as well as European economic law, with a strong focus on EU competition law. This background enables me to oversee and provide solutions to all relevant aspects of the legal landscape concerning regulatory and competition law.
It is a privilege to work alongside renowned Tech & Comms lawyers from a number of different jurisdictions to ensure clients legal issues are resolved effectively, thus allowing clients to focus on adaption and innovation. I am fully devoted to providing solutions, collaborating and guiding clients towards their objectives.
