I am an associate in our Brussels IP team, where I practice all aspects of intellectual property, with a particular focus on the enforcement of trade mark, copyright and patent rights across various sectors, including fashion & luxury goods, food & beverage, telecoms and media & entertainment.
Intellectual property is a field of particular interest to me, with its close relationship with innovation that calls for creative and pragmatic solutions.
Over the years, I have gained experience representing clients in contentious matters relating to ownership and infringement of IP rights before national courts and the Benelux Court of Justice, as well as in administrative proceedings before the BOIP and the EUIPO.
My experience also relates to the drafting of assignment and licensing agreements of IP and related rights, as well as the advising on matters relating to neighbouring fields, namely trade secrets and unfair trade practice, as well as exclusive and selective aspects of distribution systems.
Prior to joining Bird & Bird, I worked in the intellectual property department of a Belgian law firm based in Brussels and as a legal counsel for the Federal Public Service of Foreign Affairs of Belgium.
My native language is French, and I am fluent in English and Dutch.
