Bird & Bird advises Karista on investment in constellr

International law firm Bird & Bird has advised Karista, an early-stage venture capital firm investing in Health, Digital, Tech and NewSpace, on its investment in constellr.

constellr, a pioneer in space-based temperature, water, and carbon measurement for the agricultural sector, secures this further investment from Karista and Einstein Industries Ventures as well as existing investors Lakestar, Vsquared, OHB Ventures, FTTF, Amathaon Capital, Natural Ventures, and EIT Food, following its 10 million EUR seed round led by Lakestar and Vsquared last October. To finance the US as well as satellite capacity expansion, constellr extends its Seed round to 17 million EUR, bringing onboard the two industry experts Karista and Einstein Industries Ventures.

The investment will be used to help accelerate the deployment of its new generation of thermal satellites and to meet growing demand among American customers.

Karista has been advised by the following Bird & Bird lawyers: Counsel Andrea Schlote (lead, Corporate/M&A, Munich), partner Dr. Stefan Gottgetreu (Corporate/M&A, Düsseldorf), partner Dr. Henriette Picot, associate Paulina Jacob (both Commercial/Tech & Comms), partner Dr. Christopher Maierhöfer, associates Roksana Hosseini and Yvonne Schaafs (all IP), associate Sven Fischer (Employment), all Munich.
