The seminar introduced Finland, a Nordic country with a high global ranking in terms of competitiveness and innovation index, and which is also attracting attention for its decarbonisation sector and ways of working, as well as its attractiveness as an R&D and innovation environment and gateway to the European market to Japanese investors.
Maria Carlsson, Partner in our Helsinki office explained the basic procedures and regulatory aspects of setting up a company. The presentation also touched on the first case in Denmark where Japanese company’s investment was halted, and explained how the direct investment screening regulations that will come into effect in Sweden at the end of the year will affect Finland in the future, as well as other developments in the Nordic countries.
