Bird & Bird boosts Commercial team in Sweden with new partner Mårten Lindberg

International law firm Bird & Bird strengthens its team in Stockholm with the hire of media and IT law specialist Mårten Lindberg as a partner in the Commercial team, where he will head the firm’s Technology Transactions and Digital Rights & Assets practices in Sweden.

Mårten has extensive experience advising international Media, Entertainment & Sports and Tech clients at the intersection of content and technology. His expertise includes media and commercial, transactional intellectual property, and marketing law as well as privacy and data regulation. He supports clients spanning multiple jurisdictions and across a range of industries, including SaaS providers, publishers, interactive entertainment companies, the music business, e-merchants, digital advertising, and digital media services.

Prior to co-founding the new Stockholm office of Lindahl in 2020, one of Sweden’s leading business law firms, Mårten served as in-house counsel at Spotify, a global audio streaming and music service provider in Stockholm, where he advised on product and advertising issues.

Mårten’s arrival marks the third hire in Stockholm this year, joining patent litigation expert Wendela Hårdemark and M&A and private equity specialist Henrik Nobel, further strengthening Bird & Bird’s Swedish offering across multiple practice areas and sectors.
