Aleksandra Cywinska

I am a senior associate in our Commercial team in Warsaw where I advise clients on a variety of technology related legal matters.

My key focus is on drafting and negotiating IT contracts, ranging from developing, implementing and licensing software to providing complex cloud services, including in the regulated financial sector. I also help clients navigate through regulations that shape the technology sector today, inter alia those concerning Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity and data protection.

My secondary professional interest is media law – I have advised printed and online press publishers on setting up publishing houses, managing their day-to-day activities, negotiating advertising contracts and registering new press titles.

I have experience in supporting start-ups with funding processes and developing their products.

My work involves managing complex international projects which require cooperation of regulatory lawyers from multiple jurisdictions, often working in several workstreams. I also participate in due diligence audits and transactions within tech, e-commerce, and FMCG sectors.

• Drafting and negotiating agreements on provision of SaaS services regarding processing Earth observation data within the framework of the European Space Agency's project.
• Advising on a number of agreements and regulatory matters (e.g. cybersecurity and legal compliance of electronic services) concerning cloud services provided across multiple jurisdictions.
• Advising on roll-out of a leading international fashion magazine in the Polish market.
• Advising on setting up an independent printed and online press publishing house in Poland.
• Transactional advice to an international MedTech start-up on the funding process, as part of the BRIdge Alfa programme supported by the Polish National Research and Development Center.
• Transactional advice on the sale of a leading producer of software for the logistics and e-commerce sectors.
• Transactional advice on selling an online shop offering specialized FMCG products.
