I am a partner in our Competition Law team in London, specialising in resolving competition disputes. I have developed a particular interest and expertise in defending collective actions and other competition claims.
I have successfully opposed certification of collective proceedings orders (CPOs) in several recent landmark cases brought in the Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT), including related appeals to the UK Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. I also have significant experience managing the interplay between UK proceedings and class actions and/or other antitrust litigation brought in the US, APAC and the EU.
My expertise in defending collective actions is reinforced by a strong track record advising on high-profile competition and related regulatory investigations. This has provided me with a deep insight into the substantive competition law issues and strategic considerations that underpin complex competition litigation.
The nature of my practice means that I advise clients across a diverse range of sectors, including music, technology and communications, betting and gaming, and financial services.
I have a particular interest in advising on defence strategies in relation to competition claims which blur the lines between the CPO regime and regulatory or other issues, such as consumer law or the digital markets regime.
