I am a technology, media and telecommunications lawyer based in Singapore, advising a broad range of clients on legal, regulatory, and commercial issues across Asia Pacific.

My day-to-day consists of advising on various data protection and privacy issues, as well as legal and commercial issues relating to tech transactions.

My clients range from large multinational corporations to start-ups drawn from various industries including financial services, media and entertainment, healthcare, retail, and telecommunications.

Prior to joining Bird & Bird, I spent some time in a data-driven bank where I had exposure to various global technology, operations, and data contracts. My approach is therefore guided by my time in-house, and I endeavour to deliver timely and pragmatic legal advice with a strong focus on the business' evolving needs and risk appetite.

In contrast to the legal industry where the law is largely developed and well established, technology is an area that is dynamic, often growing at unprecedented paces. The constant tension between an industry so grounded and an area so transient excites me. I love the complexity and unpredictability of this area of practice, and as someone who inquisitive, the ebb and flow of this intrigues me.

• Advised a global media and entertainment company on data protection and privacy compliance regarding its direct-to-consumer websites across Asia Pacific.
• Advised a multinational technology conglomerate on data protection and privacy issues relating to adtech and virtual reality.
• Assisted multinational corporations and start-ups with drafting and reviewing various agreements such as complex platform licensing arrangements, master technology agreements, and master services agreements.
• Advised a multinational technology company on cybersecurity and data privacy issues relating to cloud services.
• Drafted and reviewed privacy policies and other terms of use for several companies ranging from an international leading video-game company to a medical device manufacturer to a multinational cosmetics company.
