Izabela Kowalczuk-Pakula

I am an AI and Cyber partner and Head of our Privacy & Data Protection team in Warsaw.

I joined our firm in 2010 as a junior associate and successfully progressed to partner in 2018. Today, I lead one of the largest data protection and tech regulatory teams in the Polish market that serves clients on global projects across multiple jurisdictions.

I'm a business-minded expert with extensive experience in privacy & data protection, non-personal data, cyber, AI, and digital governance. I'm passionate about technology, and my professional expertise is strongly related to this area. I effectively advise clients on designing marketing services, adtech (retargeting, programmatics, look alike retargeting, Pay or Consent models), recruitment processes, AI and cloud services, i.a. for the insurance, fintech and pharmaceutical sectors.

I also support both Polish and international clients in creating a thoughtful and pragmatic data protection strategy and assist clients through data leak crisis situations, representing them during audits and in proceedings before the Data Protection Authority and the courts.

I coordinate international projects that require analysing data protection laws of both EU and non-EU countries.

I have been appointed as a member of the European Advisory Board and the KnowledgeNet Chapter for Poland, within the IAPP, an international association dedicated to privacy, AI governance, and digital responsibility.
