I am an associate in Bird & Bird's Commercial and Privacy & Data Protection department in the Madrid office.
I also work with the the Digital Rights and Assets and Media, Entertainment and Sports sector groups.
I began my professional practise focusing on software infringement, trade secrets and unfair competition litigation, as well as advising on various intellectual property matters. I have also acquired extensive experience regarding data protection, ePrivacy, art law, digital media, audio-visual rights and trademark litigation.
My career interests include the relationship between intellectual property, culture and privacy with the new virtual and technological reality. The world is currently experiencing a radical digital transformation which implies many disruptive legal challenges, such as the metaverse, augmented reality, blockchain, cryptocurrency and the creation of new media platforms and consumer models.
Being used to working with the latest technologies has given me insight regarding the needs and strategies of clients related to their digital transformation, as well as advising them on the new legislative developments concerning digital law, data protection compliance, entertainment law, and other topics. That is why I believe that the best way to gain industry experience is to be involved in the development of our clients' commercial objectives and business strategy, so that I can provide the necessary advice for their digital market needs and regulatory compliance. This requires me to keep up to date not only with legislative developments, but also with the advancement of technology.
