I am an associate working in our Intellectual Property team in Amsterdam, assisting clients in trademarks, copyright, platform liability and other IP related matters.
My practice consists of advising, negotiating, and litigating in relation to the (international) protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights (such as trademarks, copyrights, designs, domain names), as well as related areas such as advertising and platform liability. I have a particular interest in online platforms, the Digital Services Act and the obligations, liabilities, and practical implications thereof for intermediaries.
Prior to joining Bird & Bird, I worked at an international law firm where I gained significant litigation experience working on IP, financial and commercial disputes, including interim relief, attachment, seizure of evidence and cross-border disputes. I also gained broader experience in IT/commercial related matters.
Central to my approach is a belief in fostering strong, trusting, and enjoyable relationships with our clients, providing open and clear communication, truly understanding their business needs. I am deeply passionate delivering added value to our clients and am dedicated to going the extra mile to ensure the best possible outcome.
As an IP enthusiast, I am often involved in publishing. For example, as an author of the legal journal Rechtspraak Burgerlijk Procesrecht of Wolters Kluwer, and my article on trademark applications in bad faith in the BMM Bulletin has been nominated for an award by the Dutch Association for Intellectual Property.
