Our French team has advised commercial bank Norddeutsche Landesbank on the framework of a portfolio acquisition of five French onshore windfarms sold by Volkswind GmbH to GRP Germany Holdings GmbH and Greencoat Renewables 2 Holdings Limited.
Greencoat Renewables 2 Holdings Limited and GRP Germany Holdings GmbH acquired a portfolio of six French onshore windfarms, five of which were financed by Norddeutsche Landesbank, from Volkswind GmbH.
For this project, partner Sibylle Weiler from our Energy and Finance team in Paris drafted and advised on the change of control documentation and represented Norddeutsche Landesbank on the framework of the portfolio acquisition.
The portfolio comprises six French onshore windfarms initially developed and operated by Volkswind GmbH, a subsidiary of Swiss-based energy trader Axpo Group. Volkswind will continue to provide technical and commercial services to the windfarms.
In this transaction, Volkswind GmbH and the purchasing companies were advised by Watson Farley & Williams and De Gaulle Fleurance respectively.
