Bird & Bird advises Castellum on strategic office redevelopment with Siemens in Finland

International law firm Bird & Bird has advised Nordic real estate investment company Castellum on its continued partnership with Siemens in the redevelopment of office space at Derby Business Park in Espoo, Finland.
The collaboration, which spans over a decade, has entered a new phase as Siemens sought a modern, multifunctional workspace to support hybrid working and cross-team collaboration. Castellum responded with an innovative solution that reconfigures six floors into three, introduces a central working café, and enhances service offerings including restaurant and meeting facilities.
The Bird & Bird team advising Castellum included partner Mikko Rajala, senior associates Iina Lahtinen and Lassi Inki and associate Salla-Mari Jokela.
The phased renovation ensures uninterrupted operations for Siemens, while meeting sustainability goals through energy-efficient building technologies.
