Bird & Bird advises Engrate on €2.5 Million Capital Raise

International law firm Bird & Bird represented Engrate in relation to their successful €2.5 million capital raise. This funding marks a significant milestone for Engrate, a company supporting the energy industry by offering a platform of ready-made digital integrations for energy companies aiming to increase grid flexibility.

The funding round was led by global venture capital firm Maniv, known for its investments in transformative transportation and energy startups. Additional investors include Eviny Ventures, part of the Norwegian renewable energy solutions provider Eviny, and Swedish VC firm Course Corrected.

Engrate plans to utilise the new capital to further develop its platform. This investment will enable Engrate to continue delivering world-class technology solutions and drive the comprehensive digitisation of the energy sector.

Bird & Bird's team, led by partners Henrik Nobel and Lukas Holmberg, provided comprehensive legal advice throughout the funding process, ensuring a smooth and successful transaction.

"We are proud to have supported Engrate in this pivotal funding round. Their vision and innovative approach are set to make a significant impact on the energy sector," said Henrik Nobel.

“We’re thrilled to have the support of Maniv, Eviny Ventures, and Course Corrected in our mission to digitize the energy sector. Special thanks to Henrik and Lukas from Bird & Bird who guided us through this process with such care and expertise”, says Anna Engman at Engrate. “This investment really shows how much the energy industry needs flexible, integrated solutions right now. With this new capital, we're ready to expand our platform and help energy companies work smarter, not harder.”
