International law firm Bird & Bird has advised Natural Power, a leading independent renewable energy consultant and service provider, on its acquisition of Munich-based renerco plan consult GmbH from BayWa r.e. AG.
The transaction represents a significant milestone in Natural Power's European growth strategy and strengthens its presence in Germany's renewable energy market, establishing a strong operational base in Germany – Europe's largest renewable energy market – through renerco's strategically located Munich office. The deal strengthens Natural Power's ability to deliver end-to-end consultancy services across the DACH region and beyond, supporting the clean energy transition throughout continental Europe.

renerco plan consult, a BayWa-company based in Munich with roots dating back to 1989, provides technical consulting and planning services across renewables, including solar, wind and grid. The consultancy serves investors, project developers, municipal utilities, energy suppliers, banks and institutional investors across national and international markets.
